Urgent Care

An urgent medical condition is not an emergency but needs medical care within 48 hours.  This is not the same as a true emergency.  Call your PCP if it is urgent and you need medical help within 48 hours.

If you cannot reach your PCP, call our Member Services number at 855-412-8001.  If you have hearing or speech loss, you may call our Member Services TTY line at 711 or 1-800-982-8771. You also may call the 24-hour nurse help line at 1-844-850-9834. If you have speech or hearing loss, you may call the 24-hour nurse help line at TTY line or 711 or 1-888-204-8114.

If you are away from home and need urgent care, call one of these right away:

  • Your PCP (Your PCP’s phone number is listed on your member ID card.)
  • The 24-hour nurse help line at 1-844-850-9834
  • Member Services at 855-412-8001; the TTY number is 711 or 1-800-982-8771.

Here are some examples of when you probably do not need to go to the emergency room.

  • Bruises or swelling
  • Cold or cough
  • Cramps
