What is a covered service?
Regular eye exams are very important. That is why we give this benefit to all members under age 21. There is no waiting period to get your vision benefit.
Each member under age 21 is eligible for one eye examination every calendar year. There are no benefit limits for members under age 21, if medically necessary. You must go to an eye doctor who is part of our vision network. You do not need a referral. Be sure to show your WVFH ID card and say that you are a WVFH member.
Adults may obtain contact lenses for the diagnosis of aphakia or keratoconus with prior approval, annually.
